What is not included

This is a digital download only. No R36S handheld, assembled board, printed part, electronic component, NFC card, game, ROM or BIOS file is supplied. You source and assemble the hardware yourself. See the parts and sources list before building.

Budget for a complete build

With an existing compatible R36S, your own 3D printer, filament and soldering tools, plan roughly €70–90 per build in Germany when the two assembled PCBs in an order are both used. This is a planning example, not a parts quote.

  • Digital build pack: €11.89 including German VAT.
  • PCB example: our US$68.86 order included five boards, two of them assembled, plus shipping and taxes. At the 23 October 2026 ECB reference rate, that is about €62 for the order, or about €31 per build if you use both assembled boards.
  • Allow roughly €25–45 per build for a suitable PN532 module, USB-C data cable, NFC card or tag, screws, printing consumables and separate shipping.

Cash needed for one build can be higher: the PCB supplier may require you to pay for the whole batch. With our example order and no use for the second assembled board, the initial spend would be roughly €100–120, leaving spare boards. A printing service, new filament spools, tools, microSD card or R36S add to these examples. Check the parts and sources before ordering.
